Circularity by Design Guideline for Fibre-Based Packaging
UV/EB Inks considered favorable in latest 4evergreen Circularty Guidance
Fiber-based packaging is a current favorite among the packaging industry as more brands look to reduce plastics in packaging and products. 4evergreen Circularity Guidance Version 2 provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the recyclability of fiber-based packaging. UV/EB inks, coatings, and adhesives in this guidance highlight the emphasis of design-for-recycling principles, which ensure packaging materials are easily recyclable without compromising product safety or functionality. In almost every category UV/EB inks were marked “fully compatible with the standard recycling process.” Making this a significant step toward reducing waste and improving circularity for the UV/EB coatings industry. The initiative is a collaboration across the supply chain to develop innovative solutions in fiber-based packaging. RadTech is proud to see the great sustainable solutions UV/EB technology is taking part in.
