Events and Marketing Specialist

The Events and Marketing Specialist at RadTech, the non-profit trade association for ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) curing technology, will focus on delivering best-in-class, highly curated experiences inspired by emerging technologies and market trends. The goal is to provide impactful, personalized experiences for various stakeholders.

Role Description

This role involves working closely with the leadership team and collaborating across content, marketing, design, production, and sales to deliver cohesive event experiences. The Events and Marketing Specialist will have experience growing established events and launching new ones, ensuring flawless execution from ideation to completion. This position demands significant communication with senior leadership and internal stakeholders.

About RadTech

RadTech is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to the safe, environmentally proactive use of UV+EB cured materials in advanced manufacturing applications, including packaging/graphic arts, 3D printing/additive manufacturing, electronics, automotive, aerospace, defense, semiconductors, wood and building products, plastics, biomedical, and metals. RadTech supports sustainable and responsible manufacturing by developing educational resources, industry conferences and trade shows, EHS and sustainability guidance, market research, student and start-up innovation programs, and industry networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement event plans, including material creation, invitation development, audience targeting, branding, speaker outreach, and preparation.
  • Manage master timelines and project manage event success across various teams, setting and implementing deadlines.
  • Manage event budgets from conceptualization to reconciliation post-event.
  • Adhere to meeting protocols, including cost-saving measures, risk policies, and contract approvals.
  • Establish measurable objectives and success criteria for each event.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between meeting stakeholders, vendors, and marketing teams; understand and interpret event objectives.
  • Conduct rigorous pre-event promotions and post-event evaluations, making data-driven recommendations for future participation.
  • Report plans, recommendations, and results to stakeholders, aligning events with overall marketing, sales, and communication strategies.
  • Vendor and Venue Management:
    Work with the event team to source appropriate venues to capture the event’s vision and objectives while meeting budget, size, and location/date requirements.
  • Generate RFPs, organize data, and present findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple vendors on various projects in different locations.

On-Site Event Management:

  • Provide on-site support for designated meetings and events to ensure successful execution.
  • Handle key on-site event duties, including general event setup, registration assistance, production support, conference management, food & beverage management, and greeting duties.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively research innovative technologies and experiences to elevate client experiences.
  • Implement audience development plans and manage event registration processes.
Qualifications
  • Strong event management and writing skills, with marketing experience.
  • Willingness to take on ambiguous tasks and learn about new technologies.
  • Experience producing impactful multiple-day conferences.
  • 2+ years of relevant events experience, including multitasking and leading multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to set a strategic experiential roadmap, deliver on revenue opportunities, and demonstrate ROI.
  • Be respectful and effective in communicating across cultures and flexible to accommodate working with teams across different time zones.
  • A strong grasp of technology and event trends, with insight into leveraging them effectively.
  • Experience working and communicating within hybrid organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience with marketing and design tools like MailChimp and Canva and meeting software like Zoom.
Additional Requirements
  • Willing to travel 15-20% domestically and internationally for on-site events and meetings.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, push/pull, carry or transport up to 25 lbs.
