Introduction to Design of Experiments (DOE)

April 16, 2024, 12:00  EDT
Speaker: Professor Allan Guymon, University of Iowa

Webinar Overview:

This course will present an introduction to Design of Experiments (DOE), a technique allowing the maximum amount of information by performing the minimum number of experiments. Most experiments not based on DOE concepts, are two-dimensional, i.e. one variable is changed while a response is measured. DOE, on the other hand, varies all of the important variables simultaneously, thereby examining the response(s) in many dimensions. While DOE is based on statistical principles, primary emphasis will be placed on the motivation behind DOE as well as practical aspects in using and applying DOE. Students will gain experience in using DOE via simple experiments and assignments.
